Ottomans are the most flexible pieces in a lobby. Staff can move them to add a seat to a group, guests use them as footrests, and with a tray on top they become a side table.
The Drum has a slightly domed top and an unbroken upholstered skirt with piping at the top and bottom edges. It sits on a brushed-brass ring base about 1.25 in (3 cm) wide, inset about 2 in (5 cm) and lifted about 3 in (8 cm) off the floor.
Construction
- Plywood drum carcass with HR foam top
- Bouclé shown with contrast piping
- Brushed-brass ring base on steel plate
At 16.5 in (42 cm) high it sits close to lounge-chair seat height, so it reads as part of the group rather than an afterthought.
